Shipping & Lead Time Policy

At J-Life International, we take pride in the craftsmanship of our products. Please review our shipping terms carefully. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and lead times.

1. Lead Times & Processing

  • Shikifutons & Tatami Mats: Ship within 1–2 business days.

  • Made-to-Order Textile Items: (Covers, Pillowcases, Buckwheat Hull Pillows, Zabutons, and Norens) require 5–7 business days for production.

  • Fabric Cut Yardage & Lifestyle Items: Ship within 1–2 business days.

  • Consolidated Shipping: Orders containing made-to-order items will ship together once all items are complete.

  • Weekend/Holiday Orders: Orders received after the end of the business day on Friday through Sunday will be processed starting the next business day.

2. Shipping Methods & Tracking

  • Carrier: We primarily ship via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.

  • Split Shipments: Orders may arrive in multiple boxes and on different days. Tatami mats always ship in individual boxes.

  • Tracking: Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. It is the customer's responsibility to monitor this tracking.

3. Order Accuracy & Address Changes

  • Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for providing a correct and secure shipping address.

  • Intercept/Correction Fees: J-Life is not liable for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. Any fees resulting from carrier address corrections or package interceptions will be charged to the customer.

  • Inaccurate Information: Any costs resulting from order changes made after checkout (including reshipment fees) are the responsibility of the customer.

4. International Shipping

  • Final Sale: All international sales are final and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

  • Duties & Taxes: Customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees. Refusal to pay these fees does not entitle the customer to a refund of shipping costs.

  • Restrictions: Due to size and weight, certain heavy/bulky items (such as Tatami mats) cannot be shipped internationally.

5. Delivery Issues & Disputes

  • Refused Deliveries: If a delivery is refused for any reason other than damage, the customer is responsible for the original shipping costs, return shipping costs, and a 25% restocking fee.

  • Claims for Non-Delivery: If a package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier but not received, the customer must notify J-Life International within 3 business days so we may assist in a carrier investigation.

  • Damages: Please inspect your shipment immediately. Damage claims must be reported to info@jlifointernational.shop within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of both the item and the packaging.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Once an order has entered the shipping process or production (for made-to-order items), it cannot be canceled. Requests for cancellation must be sent to info@jlifointernational.shop immediately.
